Dr. Ilona, started her career in Optometry by graduating from the University of Latvia with a Master’s degree in Optometry and becoming a member of the Latvian Optometrist and Optics Association In 2002. After completing 4 years of professional experience in Riga, she moved to Cyprus to further her experience in customer service, especially related to diagnosing and providing solutions for vision problem, she then subsequently moved to Dubai where her multilingual skills and proficiency in
Latvian, Russian, English and soft understanding of Arabic and Greek has assisted her success, as she worked for the most prestigious Optical store firms in the luxury retails segment, providing customers with wide range of optical solutions and corrections raging from ophthalmic lenses to contact lenses from renowned suppliers and brands.
Dr. Ilona is an ambitious and motivated professional optometrist, who strives to excel in her field and provide her clients best solutions possible for their vision correction with an eye for long-term customer satisfaction and relationship.
She aspires to continue growing professionally in the emirates years by joining the clinical field cementing her 22 years of experience.
- Responsible for the vision and eye care of clients
- Treating different conditions such as astigmatism, near-sightedness, and farsightedness
- Performing eye and vision tests, diagnosing issues, providing consultations
- Prescribing corrective glasses and Opthalmic lenses
- Educating clients on proper eye care methods
- Introducing patients to contact lenses correction
- Providing solutions for single vision, multifocal and astigmatism contact lenses correction
- Detect and assist with vision problems such as reading difficulties related to age
