Dr. Kateryna Shapovalova

Dr. Kateryna is a highly experienced general surgeon with over 10 years of practice in laparoscopic mammography & colorectal surgery. She earned her medical degree in Ukraine. She graduated from Lugansk Government Medical University in 2009 and then trained in general surgery, endoscopy, and laparoscopy in Ukraine, where she got her PhD in surgery. Dr Kateryna has gained experience in breast surgery and is currently a general and gastrointestinal surgeon. She specializes in minimally invasive procedures such as gastric balloon placement for weight management. She performs urgent and non-urgent surgeries, endoscopies, and laparoscopies. She has expertise in all areas of general surgery, including hernia repairs, abdominal operations, gallbladder and appendectomy, anal surgery, thyroid surgery, breast disease and skin and soft tissue lesions and tumors. She also performs upper and lower GI endoscopies, both diagnostic and therapeutic.
