Comprehensive Aesthetic and Functional Smile Rehabilitation
Problem
The patient experienced significant aesthetic discomfort due to a large failing restoration and severe discolouration of a central tooth, as well as damaged teeth in the posterior regions.
Solution
- Performed a comprehensive assessment, clinical photography, and digital smile planning.
- Used a mock-up to approve the shape and proportions of the future teeth with the patient.
- Performed gum contouring to create a symmetrical and harmonious gingival line.
- Prepared the front teeth for ceramic veneers and the posterior teeth for crowns.
- Masked the discolouration of the central tooth root and placed temporary restorations.
- After the try-in, permanently bonded the veneers and crowns using an adhesive protocol.
- As a result, the aesthetics of the front teeth and the gingival contour were restored, while the crowns restored the integrity of the dentition and provided occlusal support in the posterior regions.
