When is botulinum toxin therapy used?

Botulinum toxin therapy is used to correct expression lines and certain other aesthetic changes associated with facial muscle activity. Depending on the indication, the product may be used in different areas of the face and neck. Botulinum toxin is also used for medical indications, including hyperhidrosis and selected cases of increased activity of the masticatory muscles.

How are fillers different from biorevitalisation and injectable products for improving skin quality?

Fillers are used primarily to correct facial volume, proportions and contours, as well as the shape and volume of the lips.

Biorevitalisation products and other injectable treatments designed to improve skin quality have a different purpose and may be used to address hydration, texture, elasticity, and other characteristics of the skin. Their composition and mechanism of action may vary and are not limited to hyaluronic acid-based products.

The choice of treatment depends on tissue condition, anatomical features, and the patient’s individual goals and is determined by the doctor after consultation.

Can fillers provide a natural-looking lip correction?

Yes. Fillers can be used to adjust the shape, contour, and volume of the lips to varying degrees — from minimal correction to a more noticeable increase in volume. Before the procedure, the doctor assesses the anatomy of the lips, facial proportions, tissue condition, and the patient’s preferences. What is facial contour correction with fillers?
