Rheumatology Clinic in Dubai

Joint pain and stiffness are easy to dismiss — until they start getting in the way of daily life. Left unchecked, conditions like gout, osteoarthritis, and autoimmune disease can quietly take away your mobility over time.

At Polyclinic.ae, you're not seeing one doctor — you're getting a full team. Rheumatologists with over 20 years of experience work alongside orthopaedic surgeons and physiotherapists, bringing in our longevity medicine specialists when it's relevant to your case.
Diagnosis and treatment happen under one roof — from lab work and imaging to biologic therapy, joint injections, and infusion support — so you're never waiting on results from somewhere else. The goal is simple: manage your condition and keep you moving.

Joint injections

Оoint injections aren’t just for arthritis flares. Athletes under heavy training loads often develop overuse injuries in the knee or shoulder — an injection calms the inflammation and gets you back to training sooner. The same applies to osteoarthritis, post-injury recovery, and flare-ups affecting a single joint.

Our rheumatologists and orthopaedic surgeons follow international protocols, using modern treatments — including hyaluronic acid and collagen — to restore joint mobility and ease inflammation. Injections are given in the knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist, ankle, and other joints, under ultrasound guidance when needed.

Conditions we treat

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Gout
  • Psoriatic arthritis
  • Ankylosing spondylitis and other spondyloarthritides
  • Systemic lupus erythematosus
  • Sjögren’s syndrome
  • Systemic sclerosis (scleroderma)
  • Vasculitis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Reactive arthritis
  • Polymyalgia rheumatica
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Antiphospholipid syndrome

Biological age and quality of life

Joint health is one of the clearest markers of biological ageing — alongside muscle mass and metabolic health. Chronic inflammation, reduced mobility, and bone loss aren’t isolated problems; they’re often what determines how many active, independent years lie ahead.

That’s why rheumatology at Polyclinic.ae works hand in hand with our longevity medicine team. Managing metabolic syndrome, elevated uric acid, osteoporosis, and chronic inflammation isn’t only about treating one condition — it’s part of a longer-term strategy for staying active as you age.

How to get clinic

Frequently Asked Questions

What conditions do you treat?
We treat rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, lupus, vasculitis, scleroderma, osteoporosis, and other rheumatic conditions.
What tests are available on site?
Blood tests, immunology panels, X-ray, MRI, and joint ultrasound — all in the same clinic.
Can rheumatic diseases be cured?
Most are chronic conditions, but with the right treatment, many patients reach remission and maintain a good quality of life.
Do you offer biologic therapy?
Yes. We follow current international protocols, including biologics for arthritis and autoimmune disease.
Can you help with gout?
Yes. We build a treatment plan around medication, diet, and long-term monitoring.
Do you treat osteoporosis?
Yes. We run bone density scans and prescribe medication to strengthen bone.
Do you manage autoimmune disease?
Yes, including lupus, scleroderma, vasculitis, and related conditions.
Can I see you for back pain?
Yes. We diagnose and treat inflammatory spinal conditions, including ankylosing spondylitis.
Do other specialists get involved?
When needed, yes — cardiologists, nephrologists, dermatologists, and others join your care.
Is infusion therapy available?
Yes, on site, under specialist supervision.
Do you provide long-term care for chronic conditions?
Yes. We follow up regularly and adjust your treatment based on lab results and progress.
Can I book a preventive joint check-up?
Yes — especially recommended if you have a family history of rheumatic disease or are over 40.
Do you work with insurance?
Yes. We offer direct billing with most major insurers.
Does a high rheumatoid factor mean I have rheumatoid arthritis?
Not necessarily. It can be mildly raised in other conditions, infections, or even in healthy people. Diagnosis depends on your symptoms, additional antibody tests, and a rheumatologist's assessment — not one result alone.
Is antiphospholipid syndrome really linked to miscarriage?
Yes — it's a recognised cause of recurrent miscarriage. We test for it (anticardiolipin antibodies, lupus anticoagulant, beta-2 glycoprotein) and treat it, coordinating with your gynaecologist where needed.
My uric acid is high but I don't have gout — should I worry?
It's worth addressing. Elevated uric acid without symptoms is a metabolic marker linked to future gout and metabolic syndrome risk. Your rheumatologist can help you decide whether treatment is needed now.
